Christmas: Let the good times roll!



It’s that time of the year again! Christmas comes every single year, yet we’re still so excited when the season comes around? As soon as the lights go up and the carols start playing, we’re flooded with happy memories. Maybe a Noche Buena from when we were kids, or even a more recent barkada get-together – these memories make us smile. And it’s usually over a meal with those whom we love that these memories become part of who we are.

This Christmas season, why not surprise your family or guests with a hearty feast? These festive dishes, all made with our trusty Nestle All-Purpose Cream, are sure to make ‘em come back for another round!

Cream of Squash Soup

Squash is always a holiday favorite. Warm and thick, this soup is like a hug.


  • 1 medium-sized squash, cubed
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • A pat of butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 pack Nestle All-Purpose Cream


  1. In a pan, sauté garlic with butter until soft. Add the squash, broth, and honey to the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until tender.
  2. Transfer the contents into a blender and puree until smooth. Return contents to the pot and continue to simmer. Add in the Nestle All-Purpose Cream. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Garnish on top with Nestle All-Purpose Cream.

Chicken Alfredo Pesto Pasta

Place a creamy twist on the classic pesto dish!


  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 12 oz fettuccine/fusilli pasta
  • 5-7 tbsp of pesto sauce, either homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cups of Nestle All-Purpose Cream
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Ground Pepper (to taste)


  1. In a pot, boil some water and cook the pasta for 7 minutes until al dente.
  2. In a pan, sauté the garlic and onion for several minutes until golden brown. Add the chicken until it is lightly browned. Slowly add in the Nestle All-Purpose Cream. Add in the chicken broth, then the pesto, stirring the sauce until smooth.
  3. Add salt and ground pepper to the sauce.
  4. Add in the pasta and top with parmesan cheese.

Creamy Beef Broccoli

Creamy beef is a Pinoy fave, so why not complete the meal by adding in some greens?


  • 1 1/2 pound round steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 1 pack Nestle All-Purpose Cream
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce


  1. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over high heat. Pan fry the steak until it is browned. Add in salt and pepper.
  2. Add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms, and sauté until golden brown. 
  3. Add the broccoli, Nestle All-Purpose Cream, beef stock, and soy sauce.
  4. Reduce the heat and cover with a lid. Cook the beef until it is soft.

Coffee Jelly Dessert

Coffee jelly was the only type of coffee most of us were allowed as kids. It’s always going to be a favorite!


  • 3 cups hot water
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp unflavored gelatin
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pack Nestle All-Purpose Cream
  • 1/4 cup Nestle condensed milk


  1. In a saucepan, dissolve the gelatin into the hot water over low heat. Add the sugar and instant coffee, stirring until fully dissolved in the water.
  2. Pour the mixture into a rectangular mold, so that the liquid is an inch high.
  3. Place in the refrigerator and wait for the jelly to set. Cut into cubes once fully set.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the Nestle All-Purpose Cream and Nestle condensed milk. Add in the coffee jelly to the bowl, and chill the mixture until ready to serve.

Mango Parfait

Creamy and refreshing, this dessert is so simple to whip up.


  • 1 pack of sweet digestive biscuits or crackers, crushed
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 pack Nestle All-Purpose Cream, whipped
  • ¼ cup sugar


  1. Set aside 4 shallow glasses.
  2. Place a layer of crushed biscuits at the bottom of each glass.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the Nestle All-Purpose Cream with the sugar. You may hand-whip or use a machine whip.
  4. Layer the cubed mangoes, then the whipped Nestle All-Purpose Cream, alternating until you reach the top of the glass.
  5. Chill well until ready to serve.
